๐ Victory Square (Piaศa Victoriei)
- Stroll down the pedestrian boulevard lined with terraces and shops.
- At one end youโll see the Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral (impressive inside and out, free to visit anytime).
- On the other side is the National Theatre / Opera House โ Timisoara is known as the โcity of theatres.โ
- This square is the place where the Revolution started in 1989, after which the communist regime ended and Romania became a democratic country.
Timiศoara is known as aย cosmopolitan university city, full of history, architecture, and a vibrant arts scene.

Try traditional Romanian dishes at Casa Bunicii or Miorita (hearty, home-style food) or enjoy modern fusion at Bruck, Drunk`n Rat (wich is famous for delicious ribs), Jack`s or Schotland Yard.
Feel free to visit also the Communism Museum and the Art Museum in the Baroque Palace at Union Square.

๐ Bega River Promenade
- Walk along the Bega Canal, a peaceful area with cafรฉs, bike rentals, and small boat rides, waching the sunset from the boat is amazing.
- If youโre into green spaces, stop at the Roses Park (Parcul Rozelor), especially beautiful in summer or Botanical Park (Parcul Botanic).
Take a walk on the bank if Bega River to enjoy the sunset.
